Artistic Inquiry

Where science
meets soul

My paintings begin where language ends. Trained in microbiology and neuroscience, I spent years studying invisible systems — the patterns that hold life together beneath the surface. Painting became the place where I could give those systems form, colour, and feeling.

I don't work within a single style, because I don't believe art should be confined by one. Each subject arrives with its own energy, its own demands. Sometimes the work calls for stillness and restraint; sometimes for movement and heat. I follow what the painting asks of me.

Much of my practice is rooted in the philosophy of the five elements — earth, water, fire, sky, and air. These aren't simply natural forces; they are states of consciousness, ways of being in the world. Painting them is a way of exploring what we rarely pause to feel.

Colour is the language I trust most. It carries what words can't — memory, atmosphere, the quality of a particular moment. My hope is that each canvas creates a pause: a space where the viewer's inner world and the painting's can briefly meet.

If something here has found its way to you, I would love to hear from you.
